About the Sponsoring Trust (SKSMT)
Shri Kashi Singh Memorial Trust is a public charitable trust registered under the Indian Trusts Act, 1882, established with the objective of promoting education, research, healthcare, and social change in furtherance of public interest. The Trust operates on a not-for-profit basis and functions in accordance with its Trust Deed and applicable statutory and regulatory provisions.
The Trust is the sponsoring, governing, and managing body of the Scientific and Critical Research Institute. In this capacity, the Trust provides overall policy direction, governance oversight, and administrative support to the Institute, while ensuring its academic autonomy and adherence to regulatory norms.
The Trust is committed to the establishment, maintenance, and administration of institutions of excellence, including schools, colleges, universities, research institutes, professional and vocational training centres, and healthcare institutions. It actively supports scientific, critical, and interdisciplinary research across the sciences, social sciences, technology, and allied fields, with a focus on innovation, societal relevance, and ethical standards.
The Trust undertakes the development and maintenance of necessary infrastructure for education, research, and healthcare, including learning centres, laboratories, libraries, hostels, hospitals, clinics, and outreach centres. All assets and resources of the Trust are utilised solely for the advancement of its charitable objectives.
Guided by the ideals and legacy of Late Shri Kashi Singh, the Trust remains committed to public service, academic integrity, intellectual development, and societal advancement, ensuring that all its institutions function in compliance with applicable regulatory frameworks and established norms of good governance.
